Schedules and Schedule Changes:

• ONLY consistent weekly schedules will be permitted (schedules cannot change from week to week). Special schedules for families (i.e. every other week or monthly schedules) are no longer permitted.
• Families will not be able to add or remove individual days from week to week
• Schedule changes REQUIRE a 2 week notice and it cannot be changed again for another 30 days. Schedule changes are NOT guaranteed as they are based on schedule availability. Please contact the Kidztime Coordinator to change your child’s schedule in writing if needed. The first schedule change is free; additional schedule changes are a $40 charge, added to the Brightwheel account.

Morning Kidztime is 6:30am – 7:30am (Upper); 7:00am - 8:15am (Lower – K/1); 7:00am – 7:45am (GSRP Preschool); 7:00am - 8:15am (Tuition Preschool)

Afternoon Kidztime is 3:40pm - 6:00pm (Upper); 4:10pm - 6:00pm (Lower – K/1); 3:30pm – 6:00pm (GSRP and Tuition Preschool)

Early Dismissal Friday Kidztime is 1:40pm - 6:00pm (Upper); 2:10pm - 6:00pm (Lower - K/1); 1:00pm - 6:00pm (Tuition Preschool)

The latchkey program is licensed until 6:00pm. Late charges will be incurred for every minute a child remains past 6:00 pm according to the clock in the Kidztime room. The late charges are $1/minute. The late charges will be due immediately, CC or Pay Schools, when you arrive to pick up.

Your child may not return to Kidztime until those charges are paid in FULL. Any child(ren) left past 6:00pm more than 3 times could be subject to withdrawal from the Kidztime program and unable to attend for the remainder of that school year at the discretion of the Kidztime administration. Please be sure to have a backup plan in case of emergencies or if you are unable to pick up on time.

A non-refundable registration fee of $50 per family is due at the time of registration to ensure that a spot is held for your child. Spots will not be held if the paperwork is not filled out in its entirety, or if the registration fee is not paid. Fees will be accepted by PaySchools, CC, or Money Order.

Tuition is a flat rate of $10.00 per day for Morning Kidztime, $15.00 per day for Afternoon Kidztime, and $20.00 for Early Release Friday Afternoon Kidztime. (There is a discounted rate for siblings, please speak with the coordinator for details.)

AUTOPAY is required for all families.

We use the Brightwheel app for check-in, checkout, and billing. This is a free app that will need to be downloaded. Failure to sign your child in or out daily could result in your child being withdrawn from the Kidztime program.

Tuition is billed weekly, according to the schedule on file. Charges will be posted and invoices emailed every Monday to the email on file. Payments are due the Friday before the week of services. Any balance not paid (due to failed payments) by the Saturday morning at 8:00am, will receive a DAILY late fee of $5.00 added on their account until payment is received. After the 5th day of nonpayment, your child will not be permitted to attend Kidztime until FULL payment (plus late fees) is received. *After 5 late payments, families may be withdrawn from the program permanently.

Past Due Balances - Any and ALL past due balances could result in students not being permitted to attend school events, field trips, dances, sports, etc. Report cards will be held until full payment is made. A student may be withdrawn from the Kidztime program if child care fees are not paid.

All final payments must be paid in full by June 4th, no exceptions. Any account not paid in full by June 4th will result in no Kidztime services for the remainder of the year and will risk losing Kidztime services the following year. In addition, any outstanding balances at the end of the school year will result in your child’s report card being held until full payment (plus late fees) is paid.

Refunds: We do NOT offer refunds of ANY kind, including, but not limited to, snow days, emergency closures, student absences (excused or unexcused), etc.****

Morning: Arrival begins at 6:30 am (Upper), 7:00 am (Lower and Preschool). Activities are child directed centers based in STEAM activities, such as dramatic play, building, games, puzzles, etc.

Afternoon: Arrival at Upper is 3:40pm (1:40pm on Fridays), Lower is 4:10pm (2:10pm on Fridays), and Preschool is 3:30pm (1:00pm on Fridays). Then attendance, snack (not provided by school), reading time, play outside (weather permitting) or stations inside, group activity (game or craft), and then clean-up. All students must be picked up by 6:00pm.

District Late Pickup Policy:

• Kidztime dropins will NOT be permitted. Students not picked up by the end of their dismissal window will NOT be sent into the Kidztime program; they will remain at the front office with a staff member until someone arrives.
• All students remaining after the established dismissal times (listed below) will be contacted and IMMEDIATE pickup is required. Families will be charged a late pickup fee of $10.00 as long as they are picked up within the grace period window of 10 minutes after their dismissal. Additionally, families will be charged $1.00 per minute past the conclusion of the grace period.
  • For example, if your child attends the Upper campus, the dismissal window ends at 3:45pm. If you pick up between 3:45pm and 3:55pm, a $10.00 fee will be due. If you pick up at 4:05pm, you will owe the $10 late pickup fee along with an additional $10 ($1.00 per minute for the 10 additional minutes. The total will be $20.00 owed.)
• Payments are due immediately upon pickup; Payschools or credit card is accepted. Please note that payment is still expected if someone other than the parent is picking up the child.
• If your child is not picked up within ONE HOUR of the conclusion of the dismissal window, the police may be contacted, and you may be required to pick them up from the local police station.
• Dismissal Times for Both Campuses
  • Upper Campus dismissal from 3:15pm-3:45pm (1:15-1:45pm on Fridays)
  • Lower Campus (K-1) dismissal from 3:45pm - 4:10pm (1:45-2:10pm on Fridays)
  • GSRP Preschool dismissal from 3:00-3:15pm (1:00-1:15pm on Fridays)
  • Tuition Preschool dismissal from 3:20-3:30pm (12:45-1:00pm on Fridays)
• Repeated late pickups may result in a requirement to register for Kidztime, which requires an application fee, a weekly schedule and prepayment. If before or after school care is needed, you must sign up for our Kidztime latchkey program. It is imperative that we have an accurate schedule of students attending each day to ensure the utmost safety of all students as well as maintain our license ratio.
• Late Pickup Balances: All charges are required to be paid in full at the time of pick up.  If payment is not made immediately, students may not be permitted to attend school events during or after school, field trips, dances, or participate in sports. Physical report cards will also be held until the full balance is paid.

Kidztime Late Charges:

The latchkey program is only licensed by the State of Michigan until 6:00pm. A late fee of $20 PLUS $1/minute will be incurred at 6:00pm for any child that remains in the center at our closing, according to the clock in the Kidztime room. These fees are due immediately, PaySchools, or credit card via Square at pick up. Unpaid, these fees will prevent your child from attending the program in the future.

Any child picked up past 6:00pm more than 3 times is subject to removal from Kidztime, and ineligible for services for the remainder of the school year. Please be sure to have a back up plan in case of emergencies or if you are unable to pick up your child on time. 

If we are unable to contact anyone whose name appears on the child information record or Brightwheel by 6:30 pm, we must contact the local police department.  Please make sure that child information records and Brightwheel contacts are kept up to date.

A written statement given to the Kidztime Latchkey Coordinator, giving at least two-week notice, by parent or legal guardian, is required to withdraw student(s) from the program. If notice is not given two weeks prior to the start of a new month, the parent will still be responsible to pay the current balance. Please note that once a student is withdrawn for a month of Kidztime, you must re-enroll your child for any future months, as well as pay an additional $40.00 registration fee. There is no guarantee that there will be availability the following month for the dates and times requested.

AMA reserves the right to exercise immediate withdrawal of any student or individual if it is deemed that such person(s) fails to abide by the rules established for the program. Written notice will be sent to the parent or legal guardian explaining reasons for withdrawal.

*Every Friday will be an early release day. Dismissal times are listed below:

• Upper Campus dismissal from 1:15pm until 1:40pm - charges begin at 1:45pm
• Lower Campus (K-1) dismissal from 1:45pm until 2:10pm – charges begin at 2:15pm
• Tuition Preschool dismissal from 12:45pm until 1:00pm - charges begin at 1:05pm
• GSRP Preschool dismissal from 1:00pm until 1:15pm - charges begin at 1:20pm

Kidztime follows the same discipline and behavior policy as AMA. Please see the parent handbook for more information on the discipline policy. Students are expected to follow the expectations given by staff. If expectations are not followed, a consequence will be given. If a referral is made to Administration, a student will risk suspension from Kidztime.

After two suspensions, a student may not be allowed back into Kidztime Program for the remainder of the school year.
